In recent months, the Government of India has asked everyone to link their Aadhaar with their bank accounts. With this in view, all banks have started to provide many methods for customers to link their bank accounts with the Aadhaar number. The Central Bank of India has set up different measures by which people can link their bank account with their Aadhaar and initiate subsidy benefits.

Existing users of internet banking may utilise their online Central Bank of India accounts for seeding the Aadhaar number with their bank account. Just in case you have a Central Bank internet banking account, kindly follow the given steps to link Aadhaar with bank account.
Visit the Central Bank of India Internet Banking Portal
Go to: https://centralbank.bank.in/
Log in to your Net Banking Account
Enter your User ID and password to access your dashboard.
Go to the ‘Services’ or ‘Request’ Section
Once logged in, navigate to the ‘Services’, ‘Requests’, or ‘Customer Service’ option (menu names may vary slightly).
Select the Aadhaar Seeding Option
Look for ‘Aadhaar Registration/Seeding’ or ‘Link Aadhaar’ and click on it.
Enter Your Aadhaar Number
Type your 12-digit Aadhaar number and confirm it by re-entering.
Verify Details and Submit
Check your details displayed on the screen, then click ‘Submit’.
OTP Verification
An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number with the bank. Enter it to complete the process.
Confirmation Message
You will receive an on-screen acknowledgement and an SMS once the Aadhaar is successfully linked.
Account holders of the Central Bank of India may link their bank accounts with Aadhaar using the bank’s mobile app. They simply have to go through these steps to fully link their accounts with Aadhaar:
Log in to the bank’s Cent mobile app by entering the user id and password.
Select the Request option displayed at the interface’s lower end.
Choose Link Aadhar card to your Account.
Input details on Aadhaar number and submit the request.
The Aadhaar will get successfully linked to your CBI account in a couple of working days.
Soon you will receive a confirmation SMS stating successful linkage of your registered mobile number.
NOTE: Ensure your mobile number, address and other details are the same in the bank records and the Aadhaar card to avoid rejections.
Central Bank of India has now released a system through which one can link his/her bank account to the Aadhaar number using the ATM, without really visiting the branch or through Internet Banking. The broad steps in this process will be the same, except for a few variations here and there. The steps will be present on the display screen itself.
At the bank’s ATM, simply swipe your debit/ATM card and input your PIN when required.
From the menu, select options that indicate linking of Aadhaar. Certain banks will make you undergo an additional option - ‘Other Services’.
After this, follow the instructions that appear on the display. Most often, you will be asked to input your Account Type, the Aadhaar number and reconfirmation of it.
Account holders not familiar with the internet or mobile banking system can link their bank accounts with their Aadhaar by going to the home branch. These people need to run through the steps mentioned below.
Go to the branch where the account is operated.
Input the Aadhaar number and your name as mentioned in your Aadhaar card in the Aadhaar Seeding form.
Fill in all mandatory details in the form.
Now submit the form together with self-attested documents of your Aadhaar and the passbook of the account.
An Executive from the bank will countersign a receipt to you.
You will receive confirmation on the registered mobile number upon successful linking of Aadhaar to your account number.

Provide your savings account number or customer ID using the keypad when prompted.
Enter Your Aadhaar Number
Type your 12-digit Aadhaar number and re-enter it to confirm.
Authenticate Using OTP
An OTP will be sent to your bank-registered mobile number. Enter the OTP into the IVR to validate your request.
Receive Confirmation
The IVR will confirm submission, and you will also get an SMS acknowledgement once the Aadhaar linking request is processed.
