2. Digit Comprehensive Car Insurance

Digit’s Comprehensive Car Insurance all-in-one plan that combines both third-party liability and own-damage cover:

  • Covers your vehicle for accidents, fire, theft, natural calamities, and man-made risks.

  • Includes the flexibility to add multiple Digit-specific add-ons (e.g., Engine & Gearbox Protect, Return to Invoice).

  • Digit customers can customise with 10+ add-on covers for deeper protection.

3. Digit Standalone Own Damage Car Insurance

This policy is designed for car owners who already have an active third-party insurance policy. Digit’s Standalone Own Damage cover protects the vehicle against damage due to accidents, theft, fire, and natural or man-made calamities, without duplicating third-party coverage.

4. Digit Pay As You Drive (PAYD) Car Insurance

Exclusions Under Go Digit Car Insurance

These are situations and losses that Go Digit General Insurance will not cover under its car insurance plans (comprehensive or standalone own-damage):

  • Wear and Tear

  • Regular ageing, depreciation, and routine maintenance of parts such as tyres, brakes, engine components, and consumables are not covered under the policy.

  • Driving Under the Influence

  • Any damage or loss occurring while the vehicle is being driven under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or intoxicating substances is excluded.

  • Driving Without a Valid Licence

  • Claims are not admissible if the driver does not hold a valid or appropriate driving licence at the time of the accident.

  • Mechanical or Electrical Breakdown

  • Failures due to mechanical or electrical faults that are not caused by an insured event are not covered.

  • Consequential Losses

  • Indirect losses such as loss of income, depreciation, or delay-related damages are not covered.

  • War, Nuclear Risks, or Civil Disturbances

  • Damage arising from war, invasion, civil unrest, nuclear risks, or similar large-scale events is excluded.

  • Damage Outside Geographical Limits

  • Any loss occurring outside the geographical area mentioned in the policy is not covered.

  • Delayed or Improper Claim Intimation

  • Claims may be rejected if not reported within the prescribed time or if required documents are not submitted.

  • Unapproved Repairs or Modifications

  • Repairs done without insurer approval or modifications not declared in the policy are excluded.

  • Add-ons Not Opted For

  • Benefits related to optional covers, such as engine protection, zero depreciation, tyre cover, or roadside assistance, are not applicable unless specifically purchased.

List of Add-Ons Available under Go Digit Car Insurance

Go Digit offers multiple add-on covers under its Standalone Own Damage Car Insurance Policy to enhance protection beyond the standard policy. These covers are optional and can be chosen based on individual needs.

1. Consumables Cover

Covers the cost of consumable items replaced during repair in case of partial loss only.

Covered items include

  • Engine oil

  • Gearbox oil

  • Coolant

  • Brake oil

  • AC gas and refrigerant

  • Nuts, bolts, screws, washers, clips

Key Conditions

2. Parts Depreciation Protect Cover

Covers the depreciation amount on replaced parts during repairs.

3. Engine and Gearbox Protection Cover

Covers consequential damage to internal engine and gearbox parts caused due to: Water ingress, Oil leakage, and Undercarriage damage.

Covered Components Include

  • Engine internal parts (pistons, crankshaft, bearings, etc.)

  • Gearbox and transmission components

  • Differential assembly

  • Lubricants and consumables used during repair

Key Conditions

  • Only 1 claim allowed per policy period

  • Damage must be reported within 3 days

  • Damage must be proven to be due to covered causes

  • Not applicable in case of Total Loss

4. Breakdown Assistance Cover

Provides roadside assistance within a 500 km radius of the insured’s city.

Services Covered

  • Flat tyre assistance

  • Battery jump-start

  • Minor on-site repairs (up to 45 minutes labour)

  • Towing to nearest Digit garage

  • Fuel delivery (up to 5 litres; fuel cost borne by insured)

  • Spare key assistance

  • Taxi or hotel accommodation (subject to eligibility)

Limits

  • Maximum 4 assistance requests per policy year

  • Taxi and hotel benefits limited to 2 times per policy period

5. Tyre Protect Cover

Covers accidental tyre damage such as Cuts, Bulges, and Bursts.

Eligibility Conditions

  • Applicable only to run-flat tyres

  • Maximum coverage for up to 4 tyres per policy year

  • Claim amount depends on remaining tread depth

Reimbursement Scale

  • ≥ 7 mm: 100%

  • 6.5–6.9 mm: 85%

  • 5–6.4 mm: 75%

  • 3–4.9 mm: 50%

  • < 3 mm: Not covered

6. Return to Invoice (RTI) Cover

Applicable in case of Total Loss, Constructive Total Loss, and Total Theft.

Covers

  • Ex-showroom price of the car

  • Road tax

  • Registration charges

  • Insurance cost for new vehicle

  • Cost of insured accessories

Conditions

  • Claim settled only after final police investigation (for theft)

  • Applicable only if vehicle is declared total loss

7. Daily Conveyance Benefit

Provides travel support when the car is under repair.
