Learning License in Haryana

Haryana learning license is issued to an individual who wishes to drive a motor vehicle in the state. A learning license in Haryana is provided to an individual who has attained the age of 18 and wants to drive a motor vehicle in public areas of the state. However, an individual who holds a learning license can learn to drive a motor vehicle in the company of an experienced driver. An individual who wants to obtain the Haryana learning license can do so by following the below-mentioned application process.

A car insurance policy is mandatory for every vehicle registered at Haryana RTO as per The Motor Vehicle Act, 1988.

Types of Learning License in Haryana

The Haryana learning license is issued to an individual who wants to drive the below vehicle types:

  • Motorcycle without gear
  • Motorcycle with gear
  • Light motor vehicle
  • Medium goods vehicle
  • Medium passenger vehicle
  • Heavy goods vehicle
  • Heavy passenger vehicle
  • Invalid carriage
  • Motor vehicle of a specified description

Eligibility Criteria for Obtaining a Learning License in Haryana

The Haryana RTO has specified the below eligibility criteria on the basis of which an individual can apply for the learning license in the state.

  • Learning license for a motorcycle not exceeding an engine capacity of 50cc can be applied by an individual who is above the age of 16 years.
  • Commercial learning license can be applied for by an individual who is above the age of 20 years. It is mandatory for a commercial learning license applicant to hold a permanent DL for a light motor vehicle.
  • Application for learning license for a light motor vehicle can be made by an individual who is above the age of 18 years.
  • An individual applying for a learning license should be aware of traffic rules and regulations.

Documents Required for Obtaining Haryana Learning License

An individual who complies with the above eligibility requirements is required to submit the below documents:

  • Application Form 2
  • Application fee of Rs. 150
  • Learning license test fee of Rs. 50
  • Age and address proof documents such as passport, Aadhar Card, PAN card, school certificate, birth certificate, etc.
  • Passport size photographs
  • Medical and physical fitness certificate Form 1 and Form 1A

How to Obtain a Learning License in Haryana?

An application for the Haryana learning license can be made online through or directly at the RTO. The applicant can apply for Haryana learning license by following any one of the below-mentioned application processes.

Online application for obtaining a learning license in Haryana

  • Visit Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Website parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/
  • Click on online services and select online driving license related services
  • Enter the name of the State-Haryana
  • Click on apply online and select new learning license
  • Fill out the form and submit it online
  • Upload the required documents along with
  • Book a slot for the LL test
  • Appear for the test on the given date and time
  • On passing the test, the learning license is issued to the applicant.

Offline application process for obtaining a learning license in Haryana

  • Visit the nearest RTO office
  • Collect the learning license application form from the RTO or download the form through haryanatransport.gov.in
  • Fill out the form and submit it to the RTO along with the relevant documents
  • Book a slot for the learning license test
  • Pay the application fee
  • Visit the test venue on the given date and time
  • Pass the learning license test to get the learning license
