Once you have enrolled for an Aadhaar card through Aadhaar centres, post offices or banks, you can then download and print your own copy of it. You can do this by using the enrolment ID, virtual ID or Aadhaar number given to you by the Unique Identification Authorities of India (UIDAI).

This Aadhar card password is a combination of the first four letters of your name (as per your aadhaar card) written in capital and the year of your birth.

You can now download your Aadhaar card online. Once you have downloaded it, you will notice that it is in the form of a PDF file. To provide utmost security, the PDF file is protected. Which means you can open it only by entering a Aadhar card password. The password for this e-Aadhaar PDF file is of 8 letters. This password is in the following form:

If your name is Shweta and your birth year is 1993- Your Aadhaar card password will be SHWE1993.

If your name is Tanvi and your birth year is 1986- Your Aadhaar card password will be TANV1986.

If your name is Riya and your birth year is 1999- Your Aadhaar card password will be RIYA1999.

If your name is Sai and your birth year is 1978- Your Aadhaar card password will be SAI1978.

Points to remember:

  • You can download e-Aadhaar card as many a times you want.
