The documents you will require are your voters ID, passport, driving licence, ration card, pan card, bank statements, electricity bill, water bill, gas connection bill, caste certificate, educational certificates, birth certificate and secondary marksheet (if available). There are two types of enrolment processes

Online Enrolment Process

  • Download the Aadhaar enrolment form online from the UIDAI website and fill up all your details accurately.
  • On the UIDAI website, click on ‘locate enrolment centres’.
  • Select your state, city, district or pin code.
  • Once you click on the search button, a list of Aadhaar Card enrolment centres near you will be displayed.
  • Take all your documents and visit the centre. Submit your documents there, provide your biometric details and continue with the further process.

Offline Enrolment Process

  • Visit your nearest Aadhaar card enrolment centre and take all the required documents along with you.
  • Collect the enrolment form, fill it carefully with correct details and sign it.
  • Submit these forms at the enrolment centre and then they will take your biometric details to which they will be linking your Aadhar card.
  • You will then receive, and acknowledgement slip through which you can check the status of your Aadhaar card online.
  • You will receive a confirmation SMS when your Aadhaar card is generated, and it will be sent to your home address by post.

It takes about 3 months maximum for you to avail your Aadhaar card.
