List of 7th Pay Commission Allowances

The government of India has set up a Pay Commission to give recommendations about the changes in the salary structure of its employees. Since India has achieved independence, all seven pay commissions have been set on a regular basis. It reviews and makes recommendations on work and pay structure of all civil and military divisions of Government of India. The Pay Commission has its headquarters in Delhi. The commission has eighteen months from its constitution to make recommendations.

In all, till now, six pay commissions have been set up. The 7th pay commission was set up by the Government and suggestions from this Commission came into force from 01 Jan 2016. Under this Commission, 196 allowances have been reported.

The list of allowances is as follows:
