The documents need to be sent to the company’s Customer Service Centre within 15 days from the day the treatment get finished.

All original documents related to the treatment need to file for claim within 15 days of discharge.

What is the procedure and documents required for filing a Loss of Checked-in Baggage claim?

You will require the following documents for filing a Loss of Checked-in Luggage claim:

  • A duly filled and signed claim form

  • A copy of your Policy

  • The airline ticket and boarding pass of the flight you were travelling in after which the luggage was lost

  • Copies of correspondence with airline authorities/others about loss/ along with details of compensation received from airlines/other authorities (if any),

  • Property Irregularity report (clearly accepting the loss)

  • Enough proof of ownership of items inside the checked-in-baggage valued in excess of Indian rupee equivalent of US $100

These are the steps you need to follow to file the claim:

Step 1: Inform the airline authorities

Step 2: Lodge a complaint with the airline authorities

Step 3: Get a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) from airline authorities with details about the period of delay/loss

Step 4: Fill the claim form and submit the above-mentioned documents within 15 days of return to India or expiry of Policy (whichever is earlier)
