Also, an Integrated Health Information Portal, also known as IHIP, will be set up under the pm atmanirbhar swasth bharat yojana. Also, 33 existing public health units will be strengthened and 17 new ones will be established and all yen states will also be linked to the portal.
The pm atmanirbhar swasth bharat yojana is mainly set up to fill the gaps that exist in the country’s infrastructure for public health. More focus will be given to the gaps that are there in the critical and primary care facilities, in rural and urban areas. The scheme will set up an IT-based surveillance system in the country and develop surveillance laboratories at regional and block levels as well as district, national and zonal levels.
The scheme will also strengthen the existing system besides setting up new units to help the government and the authorities to detect, prevent, research and treat the outbreak of diseases and also handle national health emergencies.
The pm atmanirbhar swasth bharat yojana will aim to correct the issues in the system that exist so that the existing infrastructure is better utilised and can be used to strengthen the system.
Once, all the objectives of the scheme are fulfilled, the pm atmanirbhar swasth bharat yojana will substantially improve the healthcare system of the country. All citizens of the country, in both urban and rural areas, will have access to better healthcare facilities and services. As more medical colleges will be set up, the medical staff will be better trained. This will also happen as the extra focus will be now given to train the frontline healthcare staff to ensure they are better equipped to handle medical emergencies in the country.
With a lot planned and a budget, the pmasby will be the first and best pan India healthcare scheme to build up and strengthen the healthcare system of the country.
