The most convenient method to link Aadhaar with your SBI savings account is through internet banking. For this, you need to become a registered internet banking user. Once you have online access, you can link Aadhaar to SBI bank account by following these simple steps.
Step 1: Go to the official website of SBI www.onlinesbi.com and login via internet banking.
Step 2: Select the e-Services section.
Step 3: Now select the Update Aadhaar with Bank Accounts (CIF) option.
Step 4: You will be required to enter and submit your profile password.
Step 5: Next, select your CIF number from the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Select the Update Aadhaar with Bank Accounts (CIF) option.
Step 3: You will be required to enter your account number and mentioned security text.
Step 4: Next, enter your Aadhaar number for confirmation.
Step 5: Read all the terms and conditions carefully and click on submit.
Step 6: Post submission, you will get a confirmation message on successful linking of the Aadhaar number with your account.
You can link your SBI bank account with Aadhaar through ATM as well. Make sure that you visit an SBI ATM specifically for this.
Step 1: Visit an SBI ATM closest to your neighbourhood.
Step 2: Next, swipe your SBI ATM-sum debit card and enter your PIN.
Step 3: Next, select the Service Registration option.
Step 4: Now, select the Aadhaar Registration option.
Step 5: Choose the type of account - Savings or Current.
Step 6: Enter your Aadhaar number twice for confirmation.
Step 7: Post confirmation, your request will be accepted by the bank.

Step 1: Download SBI Anywhere Personal mobile app.
Step 2: Open your SBI Anywhere Personal mobile app.
Step 3: Click on Requests and select the Aadhaar linking option.
Step 6: Now, select your CIF number.
Step 7: Next, enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number twice for confirmation.
Step 8: Read all the Terms and Conditions carefully and click on submit.
Step 9: You will get a message which says that your request has been processed and that your 12-digit Aadhaar number is successfully linked with your bank account.
If you have registered your mobile number with your SBI bank account, you can link your bank account with Aadhaar number through SMS.
Step 1: For this you are required to send a text SMS in the mentioned format: UID
Step 2: You need to send this text message to 567676.
Step 3: Once sent, you will get a confirmation message on successful seeding of your Aadhaar number . Step 4: If your Aadhaar is not linked, you will get a message to visit the bank for Aadhaar seeding.
Step 5: If your mobile number is not registered, you will get a message stating the same.
For this, you will have to physically visit the official branch of SBI.
Step 1: Visit your nearest SBI Branch.
Step 2: Ensure that you’re carrying the original and a self-attested copy of your Aadhaar card.
Step 3: Fill the Aadhaar seeding form and submit it to the bank along with the self-attested copy of Aadhaar.
