Hero MotoCorp Hunk

General Information:

Initially introduced in 2007 and subsequently facelifted in 2011, Hunk is Hero MotoCorp’s answer to the ever growing youth rider population of the country. It features an extremely potent 150 cc engine, which is coupled with a future-ready design, in order to fabricate an urban everyday commuting 2 wheelers. It is the company’s contender for competing against the long-term segment leader – Bajaj Pulsar 150.

  • The Hunk has been developed in accordance with a design language that is in-line with its tagline – Because Muscles Matter
  • The front fascia is characterized by a clear lens headlamp, large black windscreen, aptly accentuated front mud guard and body-coloured rear view mirrors
  • 5-spoke black alloy wheels, along with a flared fuel tank and highly set pillion seat gives the Hunk an aggressive stance
  • The Hunk gets its individuality in the rear profile too, thanks to LED taillamps, tastefully designed rear mudguard that houses the number plate, and blacked out grab rails
  • This motorcycle further has a respectable road presence, owing to its dimensional statistics of 2080 mm x 765 mm x 795 mm (L x W x H)

Power & Performance:

Competing with the likes of the Pulsar 150 makes it essential for the Hunk to deliver optimum performance. In order to achieve the aforementioned target, engineers have filled in enough juice into the powering mechanism of the bike.

Braking & Handling:

  • Tubular diamond type chassis provides an incredible amount of feedback while attacking corners at sustainable speeds
  • 240 mm front disc brake is enough to handle the bike’s grunt during emergency stops
  • Thought the rider seat is adequately padded making it a comfortable cruising option, the higher set rear seat might cause inconvenience to the pillion during long highway trips
  • Lower set clip-on handlebars and further located foot pegs provide an aggressive riding position
  • A relatively longer wheelbase of 1325 mm does make manoeuvring the bike in city traffic a hectic job

What To Opt For:

  • All aggressive design cues, like the flared cladding around the fuel tank, demand a comprehensive insurance policy
  • Being a mid-range bike, its always better to opt for an anti-theft policy, to keep potential losses at bay
  • ·A comprehensive insurance cover can further enhance the bike ownership experience
