Hero MotoCorp Xtreme

General Information:

With an ever-increasing number of customers venturing into the 150 cc motorcycle category, all major 2-wheeler manufacturers have taken the plunge and launched their respective representatives to compete under this segment. Xtreme is Hero Moto Corp’s contender in this market space and was recently refreshed by the company in order to revive its presence in the 150 cc category. Being a part of the highly competitive 150 cc segment, Xtreme competes with the Bajaj Pulsar 150, Suzuki GS150R and Honda CB Trigger.

  • Front fascia of the recently refreshed Xtreme features an edgier front headlamp, a small black visor area, and sharper front mud guard
  • The aggressive nature of the bike is mainly represented from its side profile, which gets a lot of cuts and creases
  • A taller tail section along with a seamlessly integrated taillight gives the bike a sleek rear end
  • Hero offers the Xtreme in five different colours: Jazz Blue, Magma Orange, Fiery Red, Mercuric Silver and Panther Black
  • The Xtreme commands a significant road presence, thanks to its dimensional measurements of 2060 mm x 765 mm x 1145 mm (L x W x H)

Power & Performance:

Being a part of the highly competitive 150 cc motorcycle segment, the Xtreme provides a decent amount of grunt on every slight twist of the throttle, and thus keeps the rider on the edge.

Braking & Handling:

Despite the sufficiently heavy 150 cc heart, Xtreme has a lightweight construction that makes it easy to nip it in and out of city traffic

  • A lower seat height and flared tank help the rider to look his knee for utmost feedback during cornering
  • Front disc brakes scaled at 240 mm provide decent stopping force under emergency conditions
  • For around 4000 bucks more, the company offers an option to have a disc at the rear too. Though this option would immensely reduce stopping distances, lack of ABS will hinder with the bike’s handling in wet conditions

What To Opt For:

  • A comprehensive cover can take care of the bike’s needs, keeping you trouble free
  • With great power comes great responsibility! Opting for a third party insurance can help take responsibility of every mistake you commit in city traffic
  • Spending a hefty price on a semi-sport bike like Xtreme demands an Anti-Theft package to keep things under check, even in adverse scenarios
