Maruti 1000, first sedan introduced in India by Maruti in 1990. Back in the time it was one of the coolest car in the Indian market. It was available in seven different colours: black, blue, silver, red, white, grey and beige with a price mark of 3.81 lakhs. The car was famous amongst rally drivers because of its power-to-weight ratio in under two litre class.
After four years of its launch the car was discontinued because of low sales and an upgraded version of the car with a more powerful engine was released and renamed as Maruti Esteem. As per the Motor Vehicles Act 1988, it compulsory for you to insure the Maruti 1000 with third party car insurance that protects it against third party or property damages. You can avoid fines and penalties in some situations. By getting comprehensive insurance you will protect your car from third party and own damage coverage.
