Types of Coverage
Own Damage: HDFC ERGO two insurance policy will protect you against any loss or damage to the car and its accessories during the following events:
Third Party or Liability: This policy is mandatory by the Motor Vehicle Act 1988, it is provided by HDFC ERGO. This policy is protection against legal liability due to accidental damages resulting in the permanent injury or death of a person, and damage caused to the surrounding property.
Personal Accident Cover:Coverage of 2 lakhs for the owner-driver of the vehicle while travelling, mounting or dismounting from the Car. Optional personal accident covers for co-passengers is also available at premium of 100/person with a sum insured of 2 Lakhs for each.
Legal Liability cover for Paid Driver at a premium of Rs. 50.
Zero or Nil Depreciation Cover: Nil Depreciation Cover is helpful to combat the depreciating value of your car. With this add-on, there is no deduction for depreciation even on the car's parts, other than tyre(s) and tube(s).
No Claim Bonus Protection: With every year the No-Claim Bonus keeps increasing from 20% for the first no-claim year up to 50% for the 5th year. But if in case you make a claim in a single year, this may reduce to zero. To avoid this HDFC ERGO offers No Claim Bonus Protection as an add-on cover.
This add-on cover helps you retain the same ‘No Claim Bonus’ even after claim.

Cost of Consumables Cover - This add-on element covers expenses incurred due to accident, mishaps or any other loss on the consumable items to the car insured and / or to its accessories, as per the policies wording.
The claim is accepted only if the consumables are damaged or replaced due to the Fire, explosion, self-ignition or lightning, earthquake, flood, storm, landslide, rockslide, burglary, theft, riot, strike, malicious act, etc. or any other perils as mentioned in policy wordings.
Engine & Gear Box Cover - Engine protection cover expenses incurred while fixing indirect damage done by water ingression or leakage of lubricating oil leading to loss or damage to:

Conditions -The claim will be approved if the damages occur due to the flood, storm, landslide, rockslide, etc. and any other perils mentioned under the Own Damage section of policy.
Emergency Assistance Cover - Many times while commuting or travelling you may experience unpleasant event such as, flat tyre/s or running out of fuel. This cover helps you with such emergency breakdowns. This way you can plan any road trip or commute without worrying about the unpleasant events.
On road repair for minor breakdowns, change of flat tyre, emergency fuel, towing facility till the nearest garage.

Return to Invoice Cover - You can add this valuable cover to make sure in case car gets stolen or completely damaged, you get the depreciated value Insured Declared Value (IDV) of your car under the standard policy.
