Edelweiss Private Car Package Insurance

This is a comprehensive car insurance package which provides a wide range of protection to your car and self.

What is covered?

Loss/damage to the vehicle or its accessories by:1. Fire, explosion, self-ignition or lightning;

Edelweiss Private Car Liability Only Insurance

This is a basic car insurance plan. It is mandatory as per the Indian Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. This plan covers other people, their vehicles and property in case of an accident. It doesn’t cover injuries to you or damage to your car.

Inclusions and Exclusions

The inclusions have been mentioned above. The list of exclusions are:

  1. Any accidental loss or damage and /or liability caused outside geographical area as mentioned in the policy.

  2. Any claim arising due to contractual liability.

  3. Accidental loss or damage or expenses arising from any consequential loss.

  4. Accidental loss or damage or expenses arising from nuclear weapons, war, invasion, acts of foreign enemies, hostilities or warlike operations.

  5. Whether before or after declaration of war, civil war, or caused by or contributed to or arising from ionising radiations or contamination by radioactivity from any nuclear fuel or from any nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel.

  6. Any accidental loss or damage and/or liability caused sustained or incurred whilst the vehicle insured herein is being used otherwise than in accordance with the 'Limitation as to Use' or being driven by or is for the purpose of being driven by him/her in the charge of any person other than a driver as stated in the Driver's Clause.
