The Maruti Suzuki Alto was replaced by Alto 800 on 16th October 2012. It is also the successor to the M800. The Alto 800 has been upgraded with new bodywork and interiors. An interesting fact is that the price of the new Alto 800 was lowered through modular changes. Also, the new Alto 800 is exported to European markets under the name of Suzuki Alto 800.
The new Alto 800 is priced between Rs. 2.94 lakhs and Rs 3.72 lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi) and is available in 5 different variants - Std, Std (O), LXi, LXi (O) and VXi.
